As I’ve said before I am trying to eat healthier, and I always have the hardest time finding something decently low in calories and healthy that I like for breakfast. I decided to give overnight oats a try last week and I loved them. I don’t have to do a thing in the morning but warm them up (if I want them warm), cut up some fruit and I’m done!
You need very little ingredients for this recipe which is another thing I love about it!
- Mason jar
- 1/2 cup of Milk ( 1% is what I used, but you can use almond or any type)
- 2 tablespoons of Maple syrup
- 1/2 cup of Oats
- a pinch of Cinnamon
- a dash of Vanilla flavoring
- Nuts/fruit to add on top
Mix all of the ingredients together and by morning it will be ready to eat! This is around 350-400 calories, so it makes a perfect healthy low calorie breakfast! This is such a great idea if you don’t have much time to make breakfast in the morning. You can warm them up or eat them cold, so its great for an on the go breakfast!
